I came to Matus Engines in need of an engine rebuild. Adam and his team are friendly and knowledgeable. I waited a while to submit this review because I wanted to see if any issues with the engine came up but none did. It seems to be running perfectly. They even did a little extra welding work under the car that they didn’t charge me for. I am very pleased with the work they did. I would have given them 5 stars but communication needs improvement. The project ended up taking longer than anticipated but I wasn’t contacted about this. I had to keep calling to check in on the project past its projected finish date. It ended up taking 8 weeks when I was originally quoted 4 without adequate communication about what to expect along the way. Also, I wasn’t explained how to properly break in the engine. My roommate is the one who told me I need to drive a certain way and change the oil at certain intervals for the first 500-1,500 miles. Overall Matus Engines did excellent work on my engine and I would go back for serious repair work. I would choose a different mechanic for smaller jobs.

MATUS ENGINES and it's owner Adam has renewed my belief in this country of what is good and true. I am a retired Navy Veteran who served in Desert storm and I was in a bad situation with a ENGINE that needed to be overhauled , a bad radiator, transmission service neede and a tight budget. Then Adam with a big smile and a big love for this country told me, for my service he wanted to show his appreciation with an great price and amazing service. I was reminded of why my grand father, my father and myself fought for people like this so they could pursue their dreams . To my new friend Adam thank you and God bless America 🇺🇸

Matus Engines did an excellent job rebuilding the engine on my 2005 GMC Yukon XL 2500. Adan was professional from start to finish and provided an honest quote with no surprises or cost overruns. Throughout the rebuild, he kept me updated with progress reports with photos, which gave me real confidence in the work being done. The engine was delivered exactly as promised, and my truck is now running smooth. I appreciate the quality and workmanship. A job well done. Gracias Adan!

I had my 2007 Jeep Commander 5.7 HEMI rebuilt at Mattus Engines and had a great overall experience. From the start, Adan came out the same day with a flatbed to pick up my Jeep, which made things really convenient. The rebuild itself was completed in about 2 to 3 weeks, which felt reasonable for the amount of work involved. He also took the time to explain and show me the improved heads and the common HEMI issue with dropped valve seats. Knowing the updated heads address that problem gave me a lot of confidence in the rebuild. After I picked it up, I noticed a few small issues and brought it back. Adan did not hesitate. He told me to bring it in and made everything right. He went above and beyond by re wrapping the entire electrical harness, even though that was not part of the original scope of work, and handled a few small details that were not directly engine related. While it was there, I mentioned a few other things and he helped me out by installing suspension parts I brought in, servicing the transmission, and replacing my driveshafts. That was pretty cool considering they are primarily an engine rebuild shop and he did not have to take on that extra work. More than any

Brought my 2014 Toyota Camry 2.5L with 342,925 miles to have the engine rebuilt by Adan and his team. Adan was very informative about the whole process of rebuilding the engine and it came out great! After researching various shops, Matus Engines prices were reasonable and their good reviews lived up to their name. They specialize in Dodge vehicles but can work with many other brands just give them a call. They fixed a couple other things in the engine bay without charging extra. I recommend them👍🏼
